Haukur Snorrason
Photographer and Tourist Guide

After 20 years of landscape photography, publishing two photo-books of Icelandic landscape and nature and making countless landscape calendars, I have gained an unique experience which I now use to guide landscape photographers around Iceland. I have worked with individuals and groups from all over the world. My first language is Icelandic but I speak and use English on the tours.
I learned photography in Iceland 1989 - 1993. Since then I have been working as a freelancer. I call myself Fred Flintstone of photography because I still use film for landscapes and aerial. Cameras: Pentax 6x7 and Hasselblad X Pan.
Iceland is wonderfully exotic, challenging and tough. The weather is unstable and so is the light. The landscape is varied: Green-black-white-volcanic-colorful. I call it moonscape and never get enough of it.

To expand my overall knowledge of Iceland I entered the Iceland Tourist Guide School in 2007-2008.
I enjoy very much working and traveling with people from all over the world and proudly present my favorite interest to them – namely Iceland and the Icelandic nature.
Be most welcome,
Haukur Snorrason
